Grow Your Business With Online Advertsing

Over the last 15 years, I’ve created and run successful online advertising campaigns in a variety of industries. Both for myself in different businesses, and for clients. In 2006 I started with Adwords (now Google Ads) and in 2015 started Facebook Ads.

Both Google and Facebook have been responsible for the vast majority of my sales over the years. They can definitely benefit you as well.

So, what advertising method is best for your business?

Let’s start with Google Ads, and how it works. The easy way to spot an ad in Google is the little “Ad” next to it.

google ads

Google shows your Ad when someone searches for your business, or what your business offers. For example if someone searches for “real estate agents in Tanunda” the above ad shows. But if they typed in “real estate agents Sydney” this ad will not show.

Google Ads are great for getting customers that are actively searching for what you have to offer.

You get to tell Google how much you want to spend when someone searches for your business or services, so you’re completely in control. In general the higher price you’re willing to pay the higher in Google search results your ad will show.

For example the number 1 ad in Google may cost $3 per click, whereas the 5th ad on Google may only cost $1.50 per click.

The goal of your website is to turn those clicks to leads (i.e. the person leaves their contact details for you to follow up with).

The beauty of Google Ads is you can choose any budget, from $100 a month up to $10,000 a month or more. The goal of any advertisement is to get more business and profits than the costs of the ad.

Now, obviously there is a lot more to it to get great results, so if you’d like to learn exactly how Google Ads could benefit your business click below for a free consult.

The next type of online advertising are Facebook Ads.

Now, Facebook Ads are different to Google because when someone is on Facebook they don’t search for your ad, instead your ad is shown to specific people you choose. Let me explain:

facebook ads

You get to choose what type of people see your ad, such as:

– males vs females
– age groups, e.g. 20-30 year olds or 45-55 year olds
– their location (only people in the area you service)
– the persons interests
– their job title

So, if you’re offering home extensions as one of your services, you’ll choose people in your service area, of a certain age range. Then Facebook will only show your ads to the people you choose.

Much the same as Google, when someone clicks your ad, they are taken to your website where they can leave their contact information for you to follow up with. That’s how your business grows.

You get to choose your budget starting at just $100 a month all the way up to thousands a month. It grows with your business needs.

The 3 main things to consider when making a great Facebook ad are:

1. The targeting, meaning which people will see your ad
2. The text in your ad (what your ad actually says)
3. The images or video in your ad
